Children's Ministry
We offer multiple environments for children based on their age. Active times of worship, prayer, play and age-appropriate curriculum give children the opportunity to know God, other adult Christians and make new friends.
Our goal is to create space for kids to:
-
Learn - through teaching, experience and play - that God loves them;
-
Have positive mentoring experiences with adults;
-
Participate in opportunities to serve alongside mature Christians who guide and disciple them in what it means to follow Jesus;
-
and have an opportunity to learn and gain a familiarity with the Bible and its message.
EPC Children’s Ministry
EPC Children’s Ministry is for children ages 0 through 5th grade. For information about EburgPres Youth Ministry (children in grades 6-12) see our Youth Ministry page.
Age 0-4 (pre-K)
Nursery:
We offer nursery care during worship services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Check in with our nursery attendant for sign-in and sign-out.
Open Gym:
Open Gym is an unstructured play time for kids aged 6 and under (older siblings also welcome). Parents/caregivers supervise their own children (no childcare provided) and have a chance to socialize with other adults. Typically offered Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Clean-up routine starts a few minutes before the end of the session: kids and parents clean-up, side by side, and then we sing a song to close the time together. More time slots offered during cold weather.

Age K-5th Grade
Children’s Church / Sunday School:
We encourage children to worship with their families, but in order to provide an age appropriate learning opportunity, children are invited to attend Children’s Church / Sunday School after the Children’s Sermon. Children’s Church is a time of prayer, songs, and Bible lessons geared towards kids.
Vacation Bible School (VBS):
Once each summer, our intention is to provide a Vacation Bible School, where children aged Preschool through 5th graders participate in a week-long event that focuses on Biblical Principles through stories, songs, crafts, snacks, and games. This encourages a fun fellowship with children their own age in a safe environment. And learning about God from adult believers.
